It will twist your mind, leave your palms sweaty, disturb your sleep, and then he picks up the pace. A truly terrifying read. Chris Jackson, Tampa, Author of 4 novels and the award winning fantasy novel, Weapon of Flesh Three of a Kind is a page-turner. Steven Mather takes you into the mind(s) of a sociopath bent on torturing and killing because of his sick childhood and his incestuous mother. Once you start reading it you won't be able to put it down. He ratchets up the tension and action to a blistering pace with a twist ending you can't see coming. I hope he writes a sequel because there is much more I want to know. Peter Hamlin, New York Wow, I couldn't put this book down. The concept is so original and you I got sucked into the minds of the three different versions of William Stark, a character as creepy as Hannibal Lector. His short quick chapters from different characters points of view kept me riveted to the story and having to know what came next. Watch out for the ending, it's a marvelous twist. I couldn't help being fascinated by William Stark and his copies, and feeling deeply sorry for Detective Hayes who only wanted to save his wife. Sharon Kemple, St. Petersburg, FL Three Of A Kind is an intense, unpredictable tale of twisted technology, complex characters, and the nature of the human psyche. Mather takes us to bizarre scenes behind the closed doors of black-book corporations, inside the secret desires of a fiendish killer who knows how to make the perfect getaway every time, and through the lives of the people desperately trying to stop him. As I read, this book built up a vicious thirst to know how it all ends - and when I got there I was shocked. Noah Stacey This freakish novel kept me awake for the first couple of nights because I just couldn’t put it down and then for the next few nights trying to get that eerie feeling out of my system!! Steven Mather took me completely into a mind altering world of psychotic chaos and destruction which kept my mind reeling for days. This book was equally riveting and disturbing. William Stark is the epitome of evil who enters the minds of those closest to his targets making them the unsuspecting killer’s of hire. The fact that three versions of this maniac end up on the loose is bone chilling. Detective Scott Hayes finds himself engulfed in Stark’s chilling world as the tumultuous trail points towards the next unfortunate victim…himself. Kris Cancellari, New York 3 of a Kind is a real gripper. I'm not even a avid reader, but I happened to pick this one up and read the first chapter. That was all it took. I was hooked and finished the book cover to cover over the next 2 days. Karl Mueller, Atlanta |
